This painting was inspired by a conversation that I had with my Mother when I was a young woman. I found myself quite attracted to a man that I didn’t really trust. After spilling my heart out to my Mom, she looked me straight in the eye and tenderly said, “Pattiann, the longest journey is from your heart to your head my dear”. I took no heed and later discovered what she had been trying to tell me but not until it was too late. My heart was broken and my Mom had passed away. I would have discovered peace in my heart much sooner had I trusted my Mom’s wise words. This is a very personal painting but my story is not unique so I am sharing it. I took a razor blade to this painting. I often ponder which comes first. Peace, or Trust. I change my mind often. This piece is custom framed with a linen double core mat. Framed dimensions, 15” x 15”. Peace ☮️
