Description:
The Language Pole was carved in Port Alberni. I felt privileged and grateful that the carvers allowed me to observe,sketch, and take photographs over a period of six months. The ceremony to install the pole by the Somass River, took place on the 18th of September 2021. It felt delightful to be able to attend and observe. I have since complete a series of works, this piece being the first.
