Growing up in Ottawa, Ontario, Donna created art in one form or another for as long as she can remember. She attended the Banff School of Fine Arts, studying Life Drawing with Robert Hyndman, and through the years, studied art in various mediums and subjects while working as a registered nurse. In 1987 she enrolled at Algonquin College in Graphic Design to finally make a career of doing what she loved, winning numerous awards and finishing top student in her class. She was employed as a graphic designer and illustrator in Ottawa for over ten years, before moving west in 2006.
Donna is a Signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (AFCA), a member of the Arrowsmith Chapter of the FCA, and a Signature member of Pastel Artists Canada (PAC). She has studied Printmaking at North Island College in Comox, and is a member of the Comox Valley Printmakers Association and Printmakers at TOSH. She recently joined the Side Door Studio artists at TOSH in Qualicum Beach. Her drawings, paintings and prints are in private collections across Canada.
