I started painting with oils in the early 70’s when my mother sent me oil paints for my birthday when I came to Canada in 1964. Changed to acrylics 10 years ago after moving to Courtenay on Vancouver Island. I was always good at art in school. Art has made me very aware of the many different hues of colour in nature. I paint with the Brushworks Group of painters in Comox once a week. The members there have amazing talent and are very supportive. It is a lifelong process of learning which is very enjoyable. I am an Active Member of the Canadian Federation of Artists and became a member of the Arrowsmith Chapter in Qualicum in 2016.
