Description:
Placer Mountain is between Manning and Cathedral Lakes Provincal Parks in southern B.C. Finding this patch of snow in early July surrounded by newly exposed dry plants which were buried under the snow since last fall, early spring flowers grading into mid summer ground cover fascinated me enough to carry my painting gear up the mountain to paint and squash small slow mosquitoes.
