JULY 21, 2010 Sherry Mitchell, SFCA will have a painting, "Sequoiadendron giganteum", included in the 13th Annual ASBA/HSNY (American Society of Botanical Artists/Horticultural Society of New York) International Juried Exhibition. The exhibition runs from September 15th to November 24th, 2010 at the Horticultural Society in New York. 41 paintings from 198 entries were chosen for the show.
JULY 2010 Marilyn Cooney, AFCA has been chosen as one of the artists in the 2010 Federation of Canadian Artists Summer Gallery.
JULY 2010 Susan McLennan and Martin Hill both have work accepted in 2010 Painting on the Edge (POTE) at Federation Gallery in Vancouver.
JULY 2010 Disa Marie Hale, AFCA, Susan McLennan, Helene McIntosh and Patricia Carroll all had work in the Festival of Arts show at the Oceanside Community Arts Council in Parksville (OCAC). Disa was awarded 2nd Place, and Susan and Helene both received Honourable Mentions.
JUNE 2010 Helen Webster will be a guest artist at TOSH10 Gallery, at the Old School House Arts Centre in Qualicum Beach. She will be at TOSH10 from July thru December.
JUNE 2010 Laura Hilts has a painting in the Sooke Fine Arts Show. The show runs from July 24 to August 2, 2010.

MAY 2010 Patricia Carroll participated in a show at the Leighdon Studio Gallery in Vancouver in May. Pat uses original stamps and layers of colour to reveal the spirit and energy of specific animals.
APRIL 2010 Congratulations to the following Arrowsmith Chapter members who all had works accepted in the Thompson Nicola Shuswap Open Federation Show: Marilyn Cooney, AFCA, "New Life Within", Allan Dunfield "Approaching Storm", "Evening Shore" and Helen Webster "Bijouterie". The Show, held in the historic Kamloops Courthouse, ran from Thursday, April 15 to April 25.
APRIL 2010 The American Museum of Fly Fishing, Manchester Vermont requested a piece of Diane Michelin's work, "Streamside," in support of Cast For Recovery, an organization helping cancer survivor women, in April 2010. Diane was delighted to support this high profile event. Negotiating with the museum also resulted in the participation for a 2011 show "History Of Women In Fly Fishing".
MARCH 2010 Marilyn Cooney, new AFCA! Congratulations to Marilyn on receiving her Associate Signature status.
MARCH 2010 Cindy Mawle had a show of her ‘One Hundred Painting in One Hundred Days’ works at Artfitterz on Bowen Road in Nanaimo, March 1st to 21st. These are all 8x10 pieces or smaller, and Cindy has included them on her art blog, logging in almost 1300 hits over the past few months. www.cindymawle.com

The chapter’s informal critique group is alive and well; get-togethers take place at Pacific Brim in Parksville, the second Tuesday of each month, at 2:00 p.m. Members bring along works in progress and chat about problems, challenges, etc. All members are welcome to attend. March 2010 Fay St Marie participated in the Kunamokst-Coastal Inspirations Mural Mosaic which combined over 200 west coast artists from ages 16 to 91. The mural is comprised of 231 12 x 12 inch original paintings. When all the images are combined together a united image comes to life. Fay's panel is #205. The mural was unveiled Feb 13th at West Vancouver's Spirit Square and its final location place is on Galiano Island. Website: www.muralmosaic.com
MARCH 2010 Laura Hilts did a demo for the DeCosmos art group at the Oceanside Art Gallery on MacMillian in Parksville on Thursday, March 18. The focus of the demonstration was using ink drawing in watercolour and acrylic paintings.
FEB 2010 Jacqueline Smith demonstrated collage techniques at the de Cosmos meeting on February 18t at OCAC in Parksville.
FEBRUARY 2010 Fay St. Marie's painting, "Showing Its Shadow" was awarded an Honourable Mention in the National Winter Juried Art Show, held at TOSH in February 2010. Other FCA Arrowsmith members in the show: Patricia Carroll, Disa Hale, Laura Hilts, Denise MacDonald, Helene McIntosh, Lynn Orriss, Jacqueline Smith, Vickie Turner, Helen Webster and Tiki Westnedge.
